A Locket – Cigarettes and Typewriter/And Then I Started Laughing Again EP
There is a poignant preciousness in the sounds of A Locket. Like a tattered sweater that faintly masks the nakedness underneath, A Locket (Brandon Vosika of Teeth Dusk) weaves desolate songs with imagery that is darkly confessional and full of hurt. With lyrics aching of childhood memories, aged family heirlooms and relationships of yore, Cigarettes And Typewriter / And Then I Started Laughing Again, is A Locket’s second EP and third in a series of beautifully handmade, printed and sewn, limited releases.
Written and recorded in 18 days, these six songs are crafted with the sounds of accordion, xylophone, guitar, childhood keyboards and if you’re wearing headphones death. For fans of: Casiotone for the Painfully Alone, intimacy, and tundra.
Released on: Que Viva/I’m So Sorry Records
