Little Children – Untitled
Little Children delivers a sincere three-song collection, beginning with their single “Scram.” For the first minute, I was unsure where the song would lead. With palm-muted guitar, on-key vocals and a tight and creative drumbeat, it eventually explodes into the classic hardcore sound. The drums speed up, the vocalist begins to yell, and eventually this six-plus minute song digresses into one minute of directionless noise. But Little Children emerge again on point for the remainder of the song’s fist pumping chorus, “The river runs red!”
The second track highlights just how tight the rhythm section is. “Penelope Spheerispos” brings the hardcore sound out in full force. The bass lines carry the song with creative chords and confident movement up and down the neck of the bass while keeping on tempo and tight with the drums.
“Now I Wanna Be Yr Dog” is the final track and is much more muddled, sludgy and less polished than the previous songs. Possibly a live recording, this song is in the very least representative of the raw energy Little Children would bring to the stage. The chorus repeats the song title and eventually leads to spontaneous barking near the end of the track.
Although I could have done without the conclusive animal noises, Little Children are tight musicians who know how to rock.

Um…
… nevermind.
Is “…Yr Dog” a Stooges cover?
…. yeah.
I was just gonna let it slide. In the reviewer’s defense it’s pretty hard to identify ANYTHING about that recording, it was REALLY poor quality.
