Austin Jenckes
Austin combines both aggressive professionalism and intuitive talent. After studying voice with the late Meastro David Kyle (Queensryche, Heart, Layne Staley of Alice in Chains, Chris Cornell…) he embarked on a conquest from campfire to coliseum. Today he resides in Bellingham, Washington as a 21 year old undergraduate student. The city has welcomed Austin with open arms coining him one of their finest. His first full-length album “Coming of Age” was recorded at Wiseman Studios in Bellevue, WA. The record was engineered by Brian Fennel of Barcelona and Co-Produced by Timothy James Meany. Released in April of 2009, “Coming of Age” has since sparked a music video and supported two North West tours. More recently, Austin became an endorser of Alvarez Guitars, is planning a south by southwest tour, and is working on releasing a new album in the spring of 2010. Acoustic guitar in hand, you might see Austin Jenckes on a street corner with the beggars or on a stage with the stars, but don’t be surprised. It’s all part of the plan…
